This may have been taken at the wedding shower or it may be a party after the wedding. It looks late 1940’s maybe 1950’s to me.

Interesting that the best man also wore a white suit.
All the bridesmaids dresses seem to be a bit different, I wonder if they were all the same color or different pastel colors.
I will guess that this photo is from the late 1940’s or early 1950’s.

This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.
Emily and Truman
To: Uncle Lewis Davis
The only other hint we have is that it is an AZO postcard with squares in the stamp corners. Which leads us to the photo being taken sometime from 1925 to 1940.

I have had this bride before. Back on June 29, 2012 she was featured. The only clue we have is her wedding date. June 17, 1950.
Sometime antique shop don’t put out everything at the same time.
I discovered these photos at the antique shop in Detroit Lakes last winter.
Looks like the bride is getting ready to toss the bouquet.
This time we see her bridesmaids and an old camera.

Lois and Jasper leaving the church.
Probably a snapshot from the 1940’s. Can you see the rice that is being thrown? She must be carrying a prayer book that is decorated with tendrils of ribbons.

This is a wedding photo from the antique shop in Parkers Prairie Minnesota.
The bride has a corsage, flowers in her hair and a bouquet…it must have been a spring or summer wedding. Her gown looks late 1920’s -1930’s to me.

Here is a old snapshot from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.
It is hard to tell if this was a real wedding or one of those old mock up weddings where they carried the shotgun! I was to an anniversary celebration once where they had a mock shotgun wedding at my grandparents home…as a little kid it was something to see!
I am back and hopefully Forgotten Old Photos will continue.

This is a wedding photo from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota. The folder that holds this photo is huge.
The photo is not marked and the photographer imprint is not the greatest.
Her very shiny gown has some kind of an apron or longer jacket.

This is a wedding Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes.
I looked at this photo for some time, I think she has some kind of black net thingy on her head. She has a lovely bouquet of flowers.
Elfred and Clara Strand I suspect his name was Alfred.
This is a VITAVA postcard and they were used from 1925 to 1934
There are four Clara Strands buried at the Blooming Prairie Cemetery…your guess is as good as mine which one is correct…and it could be another Clara buried elsewhere. Although there is a Alfred buried at that cemetery also.

This is a wedding photo that I rescued from an antique shop in Bemidji Minnesota.
Most likely a 1950’s sometime wedding. The photo was taken by Lockwood Studio in Spokane Washington
I will guess that the bride has just a few sister’s and they are all in the wedding party.
I wonder what color the bridesmaid’s dresses were? Blue…or a rosy pink? The Junior bridesmaids must be in a pale color or white.
