"EDWARD FREAS BOGERT postmaster of Wilkesbarre Pennsylvania and long identified with the progress that active mountain city of the Keystone State is a native of Pennsylvania having been born at New Columbus Luzerne County on September 27 1856 His father was in business at that place as wheelwright blacksmith and painter His education was gained in the public schools and the Collegiate Academy of New Columbus and in part at the Keystone Academy Factoryville Pennsylvania."


Edward Freas Bogert (1856 - ?) married Sara Evelyn Bates (who was 20-some years younger).

    1. Hi Mildred, Not too many but there are a few people who like their profiles, and some photographers liked them too. I always wondered why, did they have a defect of some sort. This guy looks fine in the photo in the reference from Iggy. :)
